Epic is a well-known manufacturer of budget priced treadmills. Epic treadmills are competitive in the lower priced treadmills that can be purchased from various manufacturers. Epic provides average quality treadmills in their price range, but Epic does not compare with the higher priced treadmills as far as durability and available features. There are several different models that are produced by Epic and are typically sold at discount retailers. For an infrequent user who requires only minimal stability and number of features, Epic can be a good value. If you are more serious about the training you do on your treadmill, Epic will most likely not be of sufficient quality to meet your needs.

If you’re interested in purchasing an elliptical machine, then you can feel confident that there will be a high quality machine available that suits your needs. The first thing you need to do is spend sometime doing your research, and working out exactly what you want from your elliptical machine. You can just purchase the first one you find, or the cheapest one, but that doesn’t mean you’ll get your money’s worth. And if the elliptical machine you buy doesn’t fulfill your needs, it will probably end up sitting in a corner never being used.

Horizon elliptical trainers are inexpensive machines designed for the budget-minded. They compete heavily in the $500-$1,000 price range with brands like ProForm and Nordic Track. Before I proceed with this review, I must state that I am never comfortable recommending elliptical trainers for less than $1,000. They generally are equipped with cheap components, and are not well engineered. Spending $1,000 or less is not going to buy you a precision machine. That is evident when you test the Horizon elliptical trainers.

Horizon elliptical trainers are generally more affordable for most fitness consumers because they are at the budget end of the market. However, they are a still a very popular make and rightly so. They offer a large variety of many different features for the cost of the machines and are very popular among those that are looking for a budget elliptical trainer.
